Evo-Stik Northern Premier League First Division South leaders Coalville Town showed their class, recording a comfortable 3-0 win at the Hawthorns against Brigg Town, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

Two defensive lapses allowed the visitors to score twice in the opening 20 minutes from Cameron Stuart and Lewis Dodd and the Ravens from Leicestershire added another from a corner in the second half through Danny Jenno.

King's Lynn Town were in FA Trophy action, so Stamford AFC took full advantage to move above them into second place after a 4-1 win against Belper Town at Kettering Road.

It was Ricky Miller's day for the Daniels as the former Corby Town man, in his second spell with the club, notched all four goals in the 27th, 30th, 59th and 87th minutes – Mark Ward pulling one back five minutes before half-time.

Gresley FC went above Sutton Coldfield Town into fourth place after winning 3-1 at Watnall Road against basement side Hucknall Town, whose Julian Topliss shocked the visitors by scoring as they took a 20th minute lead.

James Jepson equalised just six minutes later and then Jordan Nadat put the Moatmen in front four minutes into the second half, with Marc Goodfellow making absolutely sure with a third nine minutes from time.

Sutton Coldfield dropped a place after being held to a 2-2 draw by fourth-bottom Mickleover Sports, who took a 17th minute lead through Sam Griffiths.

A Tom Gutteridge own goal restored parity just before half-time but Darren Ruston put the hosts back in front after 57 minutes. Daryl Taylor rescued a point for the Royals on the hour-mark.

Carlton Town are sixth after edging out Leek Town 3-2 at the CTFC Stadium.

Ruben Wiggins-Thomas gave the Nottinghamshire hosts a 12th minute lead that Danny Smith cancelled out three minutes later. Sam MacVicar quickly restored the home side's advantage two minutes after that and when Luke Smithson made it 3-1 with only 20 minutes gone, any sort of scoreline looked possible.

In the end the only other goal of the game came from Leek's Matty Haddrell 17 minutes from time.

Halesowen Town maintained their hopes of getting into the top five with a 3-1 win against Northwich Victoria at The Grove.

Gavin Winsper gave the Yeltz a 23rd minute lead that Matt Walwyn levelled immediately after the break.
But Nav Arshad on 57 minutes and Jean Gueyes in time added on won it for the home side.

Lincoln United's mini revival came to an end at Kidsgrove Athletic, whose Ashley Hill gave them a 15th minute lead that Jordan Hemptenstall equalised 10 minutes before half-time. Liam Shotton won it for 'Grove on 53 minutes.

Chasetown gained a welcome 2-0 success at Rainworth Miners Welfare with goals from Andy Westwood after 26 minutes and Gary Hay just before the break, while Loughborough Dynamo swapped placed with Romulus in second-bottom spot after winning 4-2 on the 3G at Coles Lane.

Liam Francis gave the Roms a 16th minute lead that Shawn Richards cancelled out six minutes later. Rob Norris then gave the visitors a 35th minute lead from the spot, only for Danny O'Callaghan to pull the hosts back on terms a minute from half-time. But Norris again and Tom Liversedge scored twice in a minute midway through the second half to earn Dynamo three precious points.
