Evo-Stik Northern Premier League First Division South

Coalville Town maintained their eleven point lead at the top of the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League First Division South table after a comfortable home win against basement side Hucknall Town, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

It was all over by half-time as the Ravens led through goals from Ryan Robbins on three and 30 minutes, with Anthony Carney squeezing one in between. Callum Woodward straight after the break and then Kris Nurse in injury-time, completed their nap hand.

Stamford AFC and Sutton Coldfield Town stay second and third respectively after they both also won.

The Daniels beat Market Drayton Town 1-0 in Shropshire with Richard Jones' 65th minute effort. The Royals saw off Sheffield FC 4-0 on the 3G. Luke Chapman after eight minutes, Mark Danks on 37 minutes, Luke Edwards shortly afterwards and Kristian Ramsey-Dickson four minutes into the second half were their their marksmen.

Belper Town and King's Lynn Town complete the top five and they too earned three points apeice on Saturday.

The Nailers beat Chasetown 3-0 at Christchurch Meadow thanks to goals from Shaun Tuton after 13 minutes, a Jon Froggatt penalty on 68 minutes and Aaron Pride four minutes from time. The Linnets had to be content with a 65th minute Richard Bunting effort at Marston Road against Northwich Victoria.

Brigg Town's good run of form continued with a 2-1 win against Mickleover Sports at the Hawthorns.

Goals from Paul Grimes after seven minutes and Ryan Paczkowski from the spot on 53 minutes were enough to move the Zebras up to sixth place in the table – Alex Steadman replying for Sports on 41 minutes.

Carlton Town came from a goal down to beat Kidsgrove Athletic 4-2 at Stoke Lane.

Grove went ahead on 15 minutes when Andy Kinsey headed home Shane Reaney's cross. But the Millers response was immediate. First, Josh Thornton scored with a neat strike from Dean Gent's cross, and then Julian Topliss took advantage of an error by goalkeeper Danny Read to put Carlton ahead with just 20 minutes on the clock. The win was secured by half-time when Ian Brown on 39 minutes and Topliss again on 43 extended Carlton's lead. Phil Parkinson pulled a goal back with 15 minutes remaining but it was no more than a consolation for the visitors.

Halesowen Town won 2-0 at Loughborough Dynamo, courtesy of goals from Jean Gueyes after 68 minutes and Mitchell Botfield in injury-time, while Newcastle Town and Rainworth Miners Welfare shared a goalless draw at the Lyme Valley Stadium.

Luke Keen scored a crucial goal after 79 minutes to earn second-bottom Romulus a vital victory at Gresley FC, and Tim Grice bagged a brace as Leek Town beat Lincoln United 3-1 at Harrison Park. Grice's 26th minute opener was cancelled out by Ben Garrick 6 minutes later. But then Dan Shelley and Grice scored within a minute 10 minutes after half-time.
