Scarborough retention list

Skipper Michael Coulson, Ryan Watson, Chris Dawson, James Walshaw, Josh Barrett, Harry Coates, Jimmy Beadle, Ryan Blott and Isaac Assenso have all committed, along with new signings Kieran Weledji, Kieran Glynn and Nathan Cartman.

Kelly is also still in negotiations with Wayne Brooksby, Luke Porritt, Tommy Taylor and Pete Davidson, while as previously announced, Jack Johnson has left the club.

He said: "In regards to the retained players, I am obviously delighted to keep these lads at the club.

"They have all had offers to go elsewhere, which I'm not surprised about due to their quality, but they have opted to stay, which I'm extatic about.

"They can all play at higher levels, but they love the club, they want to be successful with this club and they have bought into what we are doing here.

"I'm really looking forward to seeing them gelling with the new additions we are bringing in.

"I am still in negotiations with a number of players and I'm hoping to agree something with them as well because they've all been big players for this club."
