S/East Preview: Bottom table clash features in small fixture list

By James Gordon

With teams featuring in the extra preliminary round of the FA Trophy, there are just four fixtures in the BetVictor Northern S/East Division.

Bottom of the table clash between Sutton Coldfield Town and Market Drayton Town takes place this weekend, with both sides searching for their second league win of the season.

The Royals have been affected by a handful of postponements, playing just five-league games so far this season.

Hosts Sutton Coldfield Town will be hoping they can secure their first home win of the season, with their only points coming away against Lincoln United.

Second-placed Leek Town travel up north to Worksop Town, and a win could see The Blues take top spot over FA Cup tied Carlton Town with just one point separating the two sides.

Stocksbridge Park Steels host unbeaten Belper Town, who have maintained their record with four wins and remain the only unbeaten team in the competition.

Stocksbridge Park Steels sit sixth in the league table, with four wins and three draws.

In the final game, Newcastle Town search for their second win of the season against in-form Ilkeston Town, who are unbeaten in their last seven fixtures, including a recent 3-0 win over Market Drayton Town.
