Second show of the season on way

By David Watters

The EVO-STIK League's students stars are looking forward to watching the highlights from the second day of their new season on Friday night.

After returning to their studies in September and kicking off their 2017-18 campaign last Wednesday, the Northern Premier League Football Academy's student stars will logging on from 7pm to see Matchday Two covered on the second edition of the NPLFA Highlights Show.

Professional filming and analysis company FilmMyMatch are back for the second season in a row to capture every kick of a ball for the online Match of the Day-style highlights show thanks to their partnership with the NPLFA to provide professionally film footage of the NPL Youth League.

Established in 2012, FilmMyMatch use the latest technology, including extendable tripod technology and high definition cameras, while their in-house team of performance analysts run the rule over every match, providing coaches and players at the NPLFA with the opportunity to improve performance throughout the season.

Most importantly to the young players showcasing their talents, the footage is available to view online and via mobile and tablet devices every weekend, enabling players, coaches, family and friends to easily watch and share.

The NPLFA was founded with the backing of the Football Association at five pilot clubs in September 2014 to provide career pathways into the football industry with youngsters studying on two year BTEC courses.

Still the only league-wide academy in English football combining sport with education and expanded to 12 members clubs, the NPLFA now offers its fourth intake of students the chance to continue their education to degree level after teaming up with Loughborough College this summer to launch a new higher education partnership.
