McDermott came off the bench on Tuesday night to make his first team debut and is line to be in the Bucks squad heading to Hednesford Town on Saturday in the EVO-STIK League's top flight after impressing Buxton manager Martin McIntosh with a spectacular long range strike in a 9-0 rout of Holbrook Sports in the Derbyshire Senior Cup.
The reserves entertain Bakewell at home on Saturday in the Derbyshire Divisional Cup after progressing to the quarter-finals and officials at Silverlands praised the work of manager Rick Adrio in the development of McDermott and a number of other players in a statement on the club's website.
The Bucks said: "Ryan is the latest of a number of reserve players to have had a taste of first team action at the Tarmac Silverlands Stadium. Reserve manager Rick Adrio is encouraging the progression of players through the football system at the club and his young side have had a great start to the season following a transfer into the Cheshire League in the summer."
