Shirt sponsors sign on for the long haul

Stamford’s main sponsors are looking forward to backing the Evo-Stik Northern Premier league club for years to come after extending their sponsorship deal for another two years.

In a major boost for the Daniels ahead of their move to their new community stadium complex at Borderville next season, the club has announced that logistics services company CS Ellis has signed a two extension to their home and away shirt sponsorship deal.

CS Ellis operates from four locations in the East Midlands, having grown steadily with four generations of the family taking the helm. According to Managing Director Charles Ellis, pictured with Stamford’s commercial manager Paul Pepper, right, the similarities with the club’s own family-based structures and attitudes towards growth have been key to the success of their partnership and led directly to its extension.

He said: "We are very proud to have been the shirt sponsors of Stamford AFC over such an exciting phase in the club’s history, last year having achieved a fantastic promotion and next season moving to the superb new ground.

"The club is very well run and the directors should take a lot of credit. We like the link-up with the Daniels at C S Ellis Group as we feel there are strong similarities between our business and the club. It is a family club that also has the desire to grow, progress and improve each year as symbolised by the new stadium.

"In our family business we have the exact same values and aspirations. It is nice to think that over each of our 81 years in business we would have had various employees, customers and suppliers on the terraces supporting Stamford AFC together and hopefully for many years to come!"

The Daniels say they are "delighted and proud" to have CS Ellis on board at least until the end of the 2016-17 campaign.

Commercial manager Paul Pepper said: "Managing Director Charles Ellis and Chairman Trevor Ellis have been instrumental in securing other sponsorship packages for SAFC which we are most grateful for.

"Having an established well known company as CS Ellis who invest in the local community and economy as part of the Stamford AFC family is testament to where we see the club wanting to be as we move toward our new stadium."
