Six week soccer school set to kick off

The latest six week Saturday soccer school for youngsters at EVO-STIK Northern Premier League Grantham Town kicks off this weekend.

Open to both boys and girls aged from six to 12-years-old and run by FA qualified coaches, officials say the next Gingerbread Soccer School is taking place at the Premier Division club's stadium so youngsters can enjoy the atmosphere of training in the ground while having fun and learning new football skills.

The schools are set to be held every Saturday from 10.30pm with tickets priced at £4 per session or £20 for all six.

Members of the last school at the club are pictured at a presentation evening at The Meres in December. The youngsters were invited along with their families for some fun and food before being presented with their certificates by Grantham College's marketing & media officer Laura Taylor.

The club teamed up with the local college earlier this year on a number of projects before students entered a competition to design a new logo for the Gingerbreads School which was won by BTEC Extended Diploma in Digital Design and Graphics student Sara Harper.
