Skipper commits to Marske

Wheatley, 29, made 32 starts in the 2019/20 season before it was cut short last month following the coronavirus outbreak.

Manager Carl Jarrett said: "Wheats is a top class player and leader for this club. Ever since I came in I can count on one hand how many bad games he has had.

“The lad is so consistent in his game and sets the standards for the rest of the team.

"He is a player the club would not want to lose and I am chuffed to bits we have him".
