EVO-STIK League Grantham Town have unveiled Grantham College as the official sponsors of the Gingerbreads Soccer School.

Headed up by the club’s chief executive Keith Horton and run by a team of FA qualified coaches, the Saturday morning school is open to boys and girls aged 6-16 of all abilities and attracted more than 100 children last season, numbers it hopes to double this year after kicking off last Saturday on the pitches behind the Meres.

Graphic design students at the college are now creating a logo for the scheme and on Thursday Horton hailed the sponsorship as another boost to the Premier Division club's commitments to deliver community initiatives by building strong partnerships with a wide range of local organisations in the private and public sectors.

Horton said: "The club during the 2014-15 season are celebrating their 140th anniversary and we are extremely pleased to partner with Grantham College to deliver a Football in the Community scheme. We look forward to welcoming both boys and girls of all abilities to the ground on a Saturday morning to enjoy the fun of football in a safe and secure environment."
