Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Blyth Spartans have agreed a three-month loan deal for Spennymoor Town striker Sonny Andrews.
The Premier Division's Spartans, who are sixth in the table and host King's Lynn Town on Saturday, announced the deal with the Northern League First Division outfit on Friday.
The 25-year-old former Middlesbrough man has been a prolific scorer in the Northern League over the last few seasons. He has previous experience of the Evo-Stik NPL following a spell at Whitby Town and will join forces again with former manager Colin Myers, now assistant manager to Tom Wade at Croft Park.
Myers was delighted to have Andrews back in the fold and said: "It’s great that we’ve been able to bring Sonny in. I know him well from our time at Bishop Auckland. He’s a strong, quick, direct forward and a good finisher, but he’s also got a good work rate as well. He had a bad knee injury a few seasons ago, but has recovered from that now and he’ll be raring to go in a green and white shirt."
