Special edition to honour super stalwart

EVO-STIK League Trafford are paying tribute to their long-serving secretary and groundsman Graham Foxall for cheering on the club in nearly a thousand consecutive competitive fixtures.

To mark the 25th anniversary of the Premier Division club's newsletter, Trafford are publishing a series of tributes to their most dedicated officials and volunteers over the coming season.

In all, the super stalwart has attended 1055 games, 985 of them consecutively and has only missed only one match, Blackpool Rovers at home on October 31 1995 through illness, since joining the club nearly 20 years ago.

Foxall, who is also the vice-president of the Cheshire League after joining the competition's management board in 2001 as the representative for Trafford's reserves, is pictured with the 2011 NPL Groundsman of the Year trophy, won at the Football Association's annual Groundsmen of the Year Awards when he also took third place nationally for his work on the pitch at Shawe View.
