Serving members of the armed forces in the crowd of 274 at the Meres faced no charge at the turnstiles to see the Gingerbreads host Lancaster City in the EVO-STIK League's top flight.
The Lincolnshire club dedicate a fixture to remember the nation's fallen every season to raise money for the Royal British Legion and chose Saturday's 3-2 win over the Dolly Blues as they are away next weekend at Kidsgrove Athletic in the Buildbase FA Trophy.
Grantham Town Supporters Club's members also held their monthly meeting at the South Kesteven Sports Stadium at lunchtime before seeing Adam Stevens and his side climb into third spot after their 11th league win of the 2017-18 campaign.
The Gingerbreads hadn't met the Dolly Blues since way back in the 1981-82 season when they won 2-0 at the Giant Axe.
