Sponsors kick start makeover mission

EVO-STIK Northern Premier League Tividale have thanked one of the club's main sponsors and staff at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park for helping them start work on a series of ground improvements at the Beeches Stadium.

Work has started on both the New Birmingham Road and Birch Crescent sides of the ground in preparation for next season`s campaign after officials at the home of the 2012 London Olympics provided nearly 200 seats and main sponsors GB Tyres provided the First Division South club with materials including hardcore to help kick start the improvements.

Tividale club treasurer Richard Harrison said: "I would like to thank GB Tyres for the materials provided to assist with our ground improvement work here at The Beeches.

"Any help or assistance provided to Tividale Football & Social Club is very much appreciated and these materials will go a long way to improving our facilities for both sets of supporters on a matchday.”

Tividale manager Ian Long added: "I’m really pleased that the work has started because an awful lot of people have worked hard on the plans and ideas of how we improve the facilities here at The Beeches.

"Everyone at this football club appreciates the assistance GB Tyres have given us over the past month, likewise with Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park when they provided the 190 yellow seats for the New Birmingham Road side of the stadium.

"These works are a major part of improving the infrastructure of this football club and taking our facilities to a very high standard."

As a fan of the club, Nigel Purcell of GB Tyres is thrilled that the family run car, van and commercial tyre specialists had been able to come to the club's aid.

Purcell said: "I’m delighted that we’ve been able to assist Tividale Football & Social Club with their planned improvement work to the stadium facilities.

"The football club has experienced great success over the past 18 months, winning both the Midland Football Alliance and JW Hunt Cup respectively.

"Having personally been a member of the club for a very long time, I want the club to build on that success in the NPL First Division South.

"I would like to think the materials we have provided will ensure better facilities for spectators and hope the improvements will benefit both the football club and local community."
