Sponsorship hunt ends in success

Grantham Town have unveiled a new first team sponsor for the remainder of the 2016-17 EVO-STIK Northern Premier season.

D-Tech Electrical Contractors were named as the EVO-STIK NPL Premier Division club's new front of shirt sponsors on Wednesday, less than than two weeks after the ending of the club's previous sponsorship deal last month by mutual consent.

Gingerbreads right-back Sam Purcicoe is pictured modelling the newly sponsored kit which will get its first outing in the EVO-STIK NPL's top flight on Saturday at the Meres against Stourbridge.

The Grantham-based electricians, who already sponsor The Gingerbreads Academy and advertise around the stadium - say the are 'thrilled' to become the club's new commercial partners after the opportunity came up to succeed Simon Hopkins Electrical Ltd.

D-Tech's Gemma Burton said: "We are thrilled to have been given the opportunity to step in and take over sponsorship of Grantham Town after them being let down so suddenly. As a local company, we are honored to have been given the chance to support such a fantastic club.

"Since D-Tech Electrical Contractors began trading just over three years ago we have gone from strength to strength, working extremely hard to grow a team of talented electricians and apprentices. We have built a reputation, not only locally, but also nationwide, for our expertise within the industry, our hard work and our unbeaten dedication, and we look forward to a very bright future working alongside all at Grantham Town FC.”

Grantham Town director Sophie Cope said: "It was a huge blow for us to lose the main sponsor at a crucial time of the season but we are delighted to have been able to secure the services of D-Tech Electrical Contractors. The new investment from our sponsors and other key partners has allowed us to continue to sustain our playing budget and has resulted in an incredible run which has seen the club not lose in 15 matches."

She added: "It just highlights the important part our sponsors play in the success of the club. We look forward to a long and successful relationship with D-Tech Electrical Contractors."
