Sponsorship renewed for third year

Grantham Town's main shirt sponsors D-Tech Electrical have signed up for the 2018-19 EVO-STIK League season.

Delighted officials at the Meres announced the renewal of the Grantham-based firm's sponsorship for a third successive season on Saturday before the club's pre-season friendly at EVO-STIK League East Lincoln United.

D-Tech stepped in to take on the main shirt sponsorship during the 2016-17 season, after originally sponsoring the Northern Premier League Premier Division club's successful academy.

Since then, the relationship has gone from strength to strength and Grantham Town director Sophie Cope said: “As a club we are absolutely delighted to see a local company who are doing well continuing to support their local club. It’s fantastic to find a local business who are willing to commit for three years to date to support the club!

"We are going through the biggest shake-up the club has had in the last few years, with an exciting new manager working hard on the pitch, and with new faces in the boardroom, it’s been a busy pre-season. It’s great to see this continuity with regards to the shirt sponsor and we looking forward to working with D-Tech for hopefully another great season!”

D-Tech's Jason Heppleston said: “We at D-Tech Electrical Ltd are once again proud to be the main sponsors of Grantham Town Football Club. We firmly believe in supporting the club and seeing continued success within the club from grassroots through to the academy and U21s which is already seeing progression of players into the first team.

"After the success of getting into the play-offs last season, but just missing out on promotion, the club will hopefully start the season where they left off last season and gain promotion this year."

He added: "With the new manager Ian Culverhouse at the helm bringing with him a wealth of experience from a very long and distinguished playing career and in the past few years into management with various teams, he is no doubt going to bring success to the club.

"The club also have a new chairman in Nigel Wedgwood who will also bring fresh ideas and ambitions for the club to grow and progress over the coming seasons. We at D-Tech Electrical are very committed to helping see the club grow and will look forward to attending games this year.

"The club are constantly looking for local businesses to support and sponsor the club and there are packages to suit everyone willing to get involved and help us achieve success and stability for the future.”
