Stalybridge sign former Wolves goalkeeper

Stalybridge Celtic have confirmed the signing of former Wolves Academy goalkeeper Joe O’Shaughnessy.

He signs on a month-long loan from Northern Premier League West side Macclesfield.

The 20-year-old started his footballing journey with Wrexham, before joining Burnley’s academy. He then went on to play for Wolves, and played for their Under-19s and Under-21s side.

He also has EFL experience, having played on loan for Bradford City.

O’Shaugnessy, who can also play for the Republic of Ireland, then left Molineux, before signing for Macclesfield last month.

He will remain at Bower Fold until April 8.
