Stamford confirm winger’s departure

Stamford have announced winger Cameron Johnson has left the club by mutual consent.

Johnson was in his second spell at the club. He initially signed in 2020 from Spalding United, but his debut was delayed by the coronavirus pandemic.

He then signed for Gainsborough Trinity in January 2022, but returned to the Daniels ahead of the 2022-23 season.

The 26-year-old scored three goals this season, including two on the opening day against Bedworth United. He was also sent off during a 2-1 win over Coleshill Town for a retaliation.

In total, he made 52 appearances for the Daniels, but leaves the club for the second time.
