Sporting the new kit carrying the logo of the charity's Race for Life campaign, Ian Culverhouse's side came from a goal down at Stafford Rangers on Tuesday night in the Northern Premier League's top flight to draw 1-1 at Marston Road.
Proud officials at the Meres say ten per cent of all sales of the away kit will go to the charity with the Gingerbreads also planning to host a series of fundraising and awareness campaigns for Cancer Research UK throughout season 2018-19.
A club spokesman told fans: "For those that have asked, why pink? Well there are a number of reasons behind the decision for the club's first ever pink strip and we hope at least one of them resonates with the club's fanbase.
"Firstly for footballing reasons, no club in our division wears pink as a home kit and we will therefore get a full 21 away fixtures wearing the new kit. Secondly and most importantly, the away shirt will carry the logo for the Cancer Research UK charity Race for Life.
"Every two minutes someone in the UK is diagnosed with cancer and it is for this reason we wish to play our part in fighting it. Ten per cent of all away shirt sales will go towards the club's designated charity fund for the season. Alongside this, the club will be hosting fundraising and awareness campaigns over the course of the season."
Already available on matchdays from the club shop, the new replica kit is expected to be available to purchase from Town's online store within days.
