Step 4 preview: North-east derby on the cards, top two clash in West Division

In the best of the East Division, north-east opposition will collide as Consett and North Shields face off at Belle View Stadium.

Current league leaders Pontefract Collieries, who began the new season in impressive fashion with a 4-0 win at home to Grimsby Borough, host another side boasting a winning record in the shape of Hebburn Town.

Recently-relegated Grantham Town will visit Long Eaton United, who came from behind to rescue a point against Bridlington Town in their opening fixture.

In the West Division, current frontrunners Leek Town host Macclesfield, with the Silkmen expected to take upwards of 600 supporters to Harrison Park.

Elsewhere, there is also a Merseyside derby in the shape of City of Liverpool against Skelmersdale United, both of whom tasted defeat in their opening game.

Mossley and Runcorn Linnets put their respective winning starts on the line at Seel Park, while Witton Albion host Glossop North End after a stuttering start to life at Step 4.

The latest round of Midlands Division action behinds this evening as Coleshill Town and Gresley Rovers meet at Pack Meadow.

Current league leaders Spalding United will have to wait a little longer, however, as they visit Cambridge City on Wednesday night.

In the rest of the midweek action, second-placed Halesowen Town host Bedworth United, while Shepshed Dynamo and Dereham Town face off at the Dovecote Stadium.
