Striker returns to Wincham Park from Ashton United

Witton Albion are delighted to announce the signing of striker Steven Tames from fellow Northern Premier League Premier Division club Ashton United.

28-year-old Tames is a familiar and popular figure at Wincham Park having played for the club between 2016 and 2018.

The forward, who also played under Albion's management duo of Carl Macauley and Gary Martindale at Vauxhall Motors, netted an impressive 49 goals in 90 appearances during his two-year period at Wincham Park before leaving for Welsh Premier League outfit Bala Town.

After a season in Wales, Tames returned to England and played 33 times for Ashton during the 2019-20 campaign.

Tames joins full-back Isaac Baldwin, midfielder Josh Gregory and forward Scott Bakkor as Witton's new recruits for the 2020-21 season.

The club is delighted to welcome Steven back to the club and we look forward to seeing him back in a red and white striped shirt once again.
