Stringer reunited with super skipper

Former Coventry Sphinx manager Robbie Banks has signed for EVO-STIK Northern Premier League Chasetown as a player-coach.

Banks, pictured, skippered Rugby Town to the play-offs on two occasions under current Scholars boss Dave Stringer when he in charge at Butlin Road.

An influential figure and fans' favourite at Chasetown's First Division South rivals, the midfield maestro picked up three player of the season awards and bounced back from a horrific double lower leg break in February 2013, returning to fitness a year and a half later in October 2014.

Banks subsequently took up the reins as player-manager at Midland League Premier Division outfit Coventry Sphinx before helping them successively beat the drop in April.
