Successor needed after second success story

By David Watters

Nantwich Town

EVO-STIK League Nantwich Town are looking for a new press officer to liaise with the local press and media and report on the Dabbers' home and away matches.

The Dabbers are looking to fill the role after previous incumbent James Briscoe secured a position as a copy editor with the Newsquest Media Group in South Wales in May. He follows in the footsteps of Ashley Houghton who used his experience at the Weaver Stadium the season before last to secure a media role at Sunderland in the Premier League.

Dabbers Chairman Jon Gold is proud of the Premier Division club's record as a springboard for success and congratulated Briscoe as the hunt began to find his successor.

Gold said: "I’m delighted for James. He’s worked tirelessly for the club and it’s very pleasing that, like with Ashley, the experience gained with our club has helped a local young person secure a full-time appointment in their chosen career. We’re all sorry to see James go and I’d like to thank him for all his efforts during his time with the club."

For more information on the voluntary role which involves writing match previews and reports, contributing to the matchday programme and being the first point of contact for press and media enquiries, email: admin@nantwichtownfc.com.
