Basford chairman Chris Munroe is pictured being presented with November's award on Saturday by EVO-STIK League representative and director Phil Varney before the club's 1-0 win over Belper Town with player-coach Rob Duffy, assistant manager Mark Clifford, manager Martin Carruthers and director Neil McGowan all looking on.
Basford, who were named alongside Warrington Town and Prescot Cables as one of November's performance kings after a run of five straight wins sent them 15 points clear at the top of the EVO-STIK League South table, are showing no signs of slowing down their march to the title, Carrurthers and his side extending their unbeaten run to 20 games and lead at the top to 18 points after the pre-match presentation thanks to Rob Duffy’s 48th minute winning header.
The victory, albeit narrow, ruined the hopes of a Basford old boy and current Burton Albion academy coach Aaron Webster of getting off to a winning start on his debut in management with the Nailers.
