Reid joins the club from Sporting Khalsa, while Jones signs from AFC Telford.
Royals manager Neil Tooth said: "Rikardo has come in pre-season and performed really well for us. We have asked him to change his natural game slightly and he has taken that on board and given us a different option up top and it was great to see him get on the score sheet on Tuesday as he has worked really hard.
"Emem has been a breath of fresh air and we are delighted that we have been able to secure a deal with him. He loves defending and is always asking questions on how he can improve his game. For a young lad his decision making and reading of the game has really impressed us."
On the club's player movements, Tooth added: "Regan Ganley has decided to take a break for a few months as his niggling shin injury is really affecting him and with the hard work of pre-season combined with playing on 3G its not getting any better. We will keep in touch with Regan and help him with his injury but a break away will do him good and allow him to recharge the batteries and concentrate on getting fully right."
