Newcastle United U21 striker Jonathyn Quinn could make his FA Cup debut for Blyth Spartans in their all EVO-STIK League clash at Skelmersdale United on Saturday.

After bringing midfielder and fans favourite Stephen Turnbull back to Croft Park late on Monday night, Spartans added Quinn to manager Tm Wade's squad less than twenty four hours later.

The 19-year-old, pictured, arrived on a month long 'work experience' loan and is already familiar with his new surroundings having feature in a pre-season fixture between the two clubs in August.

Three months earlier the Ashington born forward was on the scoresheet in the Northumberland Senior Cup Final as the St James Park club lifted the trophy with a 4-0 win Wade’s side.

Quinn - who celebrated his birthday last week - made his Magpies Academy debut in April 2012 against Middlesbrough before making the step up to U21 level in January 2013 at Reading. A month later he found the net with a goal against Stoke City U21s. In January this year, the forward also struck a hat-trick at St James Park in a 4-0 FA Youth Cup win over Sunderland.
