Topliss returns to the Owls

Cleethorpes Town have announced that Sam Topliss has returned to the club for his second spell.

The defender appeared for Cleethorpes during the 2018/19 season before joining Gainsborough, but will now return to the club in the S/East Division.

"When I knew that opportunities may become more limited at Gainsborough and I became aware that Clee were interested, I jumped at the chance to return," he told the club's official website.

"I really enjoyed last season - the fans and everyone behind the scenes were great. I hope to be a part of helping the Owls to achieve their ambitions."
