The Brewers - whose EVO-STIK NPL First Division North fixture at Kendal Town on Saturday fell victim to the weather - will hand over the funds raised at next Saturday's clash with Ramsbottom United at the i2i Stadium.
The touching gesture by the North Yorkshire club has been widely praised by fellow clubs and their fans using the #nonleaguefamily. Taddy's board say they simply wished to express their sentiments and help a good cause of the family's choice on hearing the sad news of Mr Holland's sudden passing on Tuesday.
A spokesman said: "Following the sudden death of Scarborough Athletic's Chairman David Holland this week, we have decided to donate the gate receipts of our next home game with Ramsbottom United on Saturday 4 March to David's family. Our thoughts and prayers are with David's family, friends and everyone associated with Scarborough Athletic at this sad time."
Meet the manager:
The Scarborough chairman, pictured appointing Seadogs boss Steve Kittrick in January 2016, passed away on Tuesday afternoon aged 59 after being admitted to hospital on Monday night and placed in intensive care.
A fan since his schooldays, he helped to reform the former Football League club with fellow supporters after it was wound up in 2007 and had been looking forward to them returning to the town later this year after playing in exile ever since.
