Trafford goalkeeper commits future to club

Trafford have announced that goalkeeper Sam Booth has signed a new contract with the club.

Booth, 23, joined the North in November 2023 from Vauxhall Motors and has since made 17 appearances in all competitions, keeping five clean sheets.

The former Crewe Alexandra 'keeper has quickly become a fan favourite at Shawe View Stadium, and manager Karl Marginson is delighted to have secured Booth's signature for the foreseeable future.

"I’m absolutely delighted that Sam has accepted the offer to join us on contract," Marginson said.

"He’s been immense since joining us and it just so happens he’s a bloody good bloke as well!

"This signing shows the tremendous support the board have given us since taking over in October and it’s a statement of the commitment to the club’s growth from them.

"On behalf of all the staff I’d like to thank the board for this."
