Brigg Town

Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Brigg Town's caretaking trio of senior player have been told to carry on until the end of the season.

Michael Jacklin, Scott Hellewell and Paul Grimes head into Christmas as the First Division South club’s permanent new management team less than a month after taking temporary charge following the resignation of former manager Mick Gray.

The Zebras announced their appointment on Monday after an impressive run under the trio’s guidance of three wins, two draws and a single defeat since taking over from Gray who left the Hawthorns at the end of November after 20 months at the helm. They’ll be assisted in the dugout by UEFA B qualified coach Scott Barlow who has worked at Rotherham United for a number of years.

Brigg's new management team are away to Lincoln United on Boxing Day and are being back to be a success by officials at the Zebras after their impressive start. A club spokesman said: "It’s a slightly unusual arrangement with three joint managers but one that appears to be working for us. Everyone at Brigg Town wishes the new managers every success in their role."
