Trio in for Nantwich's promotion push

EVO-STIK League Premier Division side Nantwich Town have added three new faces ahead of the transfer deadline.

Firmly in the play-off places, the Dabbers have signed centre-back Joe Davis, son of legendary former Nantwich manager Steve.

Davis, 25, was contracted with Leicester City when they won the Premier League, though he spent that season out on loan at Fleetwood Town, and has also played for Port Vale, Luton Town and York City.

Joining him at the Weaver Stadium is midfielder Wealth da Silva and Nathan Brown.

da Silva, 19, hails from Nigeria and came through the ranks at Bury before a trial period at Sheffield United, and joins on dual-registration from Winsford United.

Former Chester winger Nathan Brown has recently had a short spell at Marine, scoring on his debut.
