Trio of signings for City of Liverpool

City of Liverpool have bolstered their squad with the additions of Harry Cannon-Noren, Nivaldo and Tom Fagan.

Cannon-Noren joins the club from Prescot Cables, where he made 52 appearances over the course of the 2021/22 and 2022/23 seasons.

An experienced player, he has also played for the likes of Clitheroe, Colne and Runcorn Linnets, and can be deployed in either midfield or defence.

Joining him at the Berry Street Garage Stadium for this season is forward Nivaldo.

The 35-year-old Brazilian striker has previously played in the professional leagues in Russia, Belarus and Ukraine.

In 2022, he departed Eastern Europe to join NPL side Radcliffe where he made nine appearances and scored one goal.

Nivaldo joined Bootle on loan in October 2022 and has enjoyed a successful spell with the Bucks, scoring five goals in 22 appearances.

Finally, the club have also announced the signing of Tom Fagan for the duration of the 2023/24 season.

Fagan, 23, is a versatile player who can operate in defence or midfield.

Despite his age, the former Southport player has an abundance of experience at Step 4 from his time at Colne and Kendal.

On his new acquisitions, Purps manager Paul McNally said: “I’m pleased to welcome Harry, Tom and Nivaldo to the Purps, who all bring experience and will add to the group we already have at the club.

“The lads have been training with us for quite a few sessions now and are ready to hit the ground running.”
