Triumvirate installed as successors

Spofforth, who stood down after three years in the role at the EVO-STIK NPL First Division North club's recent annual general meeting, has been succeeded as matchday secretary by Ralph Wainwright. Spofforth's work as club secretary is being shared by Craig Wolfenden and Oliver Smith, older brother of Town striker Tom Smith.

As the Reds look to the future, officials have announced that Spofforth is remaining on their executive committee at Ingfield and will assist Wolfenden and Smith as they pick-up his old role. Ben Lindley has also become the tenth member of the club's committee, joining Justin Fozard, Paul Billing and Nick Smith who extended their stays by a further year with the full support of members at the AGM.

A club spokesman said: "The committee is headed up by James Rogers, Lee Broadbent and John Rankin who continue in their roles as chairman, vice-chairman and treasurer. As always, there is plenty of work to be done off the field and the ten will continue to work towards improving the facilities, starting with the back room at the club which once renovated will reopen as the Graham Firth Members Lounge in memory of our former chairman who passed away last year."
