Trophy holds few fears for Blues

His own fitness was the only worry for Leek Town manager Ant Danylyk as he prepared for his EVO-STIK Northern Premier League side's trip to St Ives Town on Saturday in the second qualifying round of the FA Trophy.

Officials at the EVO-STIK NPL First Division South club's Harrison Park say their player manager had no fears over the rest of his squad as they prepared to make the gruelling 275 mile round trip to Cambridgeshire.

The Blues are hoping to avoid being on the end of a backlash when they visit the ProEdge stadium after the Saints suffered a stinging seven goal reverse at home to Kettering Town in the EVO-STIK League Southern's top flight last Saturday, a result that dropped them into the relegation zone.

Blues officials say any replay will take place at Harrison Park on Tuesday 15 November, forcing the rescheduling of their Integro Sports League Cup clash at home to EVO-STIK NPL Premier Division Hednesford Town.
