Trophy trio march on after Bucks beaten

A late Grimsby goal broke Buxton hearts and left King's Lynn Town, Matlock Town and Skelmersdale United flying the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League's flag in the FA Trophy.

Ian Miller grabbed the Conference Premier leader's winner with only three minutes to go at Silverlands in Tuesday night's First Round Replay.

Martin McIntosh's Evo-Stik NPL Premier Division heroes battled to a 0-0 draw at Blundell Park on Saturday and missed out on hosting either Braintree or Havant & Waterlooville for a place in the competition's last 16 and £6,000 in prize money.

Evo-Stik NPL First Division North Skelmersdale, 2-1 victors over Conference North Boston United in their replay on Tuesday night, host another of the division's outfits, Guiseley, in the Second Round at the West Lancashire Comnmunity Stadium on Saturday 15 December.

Matlock Town joined Skelmersdale in the Second Round on Tuesday night with a 2-1 triumph over Conference Premier Mansfield. The Gladiators are now looking forward to hosting either Luton or Dorchester after loan striker Massiah McDonald scored a last minute winner at Causeway Lane.

Evo-Stik NPL First Division South King's Lynn Town were first to book their place in the last 32 and a home tie against AFC Telford with a 1-0 victory at Evo-Stik NPL Premier Division Worksop Town on Saturday.
