Stamford AFC's unbeaten away record came to an end with a 1-0 defeat at Evo-Stik Northern Premier League First Division South leaders Coalville Town on Tuesday night, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

The only goal of the game came just after the hour-mark when the Daniels conceded a free-kick on the edge of their box and Danny Jenno curled his shot into the back of the net.

King's Lynn Town remain in second spot, four points behind the Ravens and now seven above Stamford after coming out on top of an eight-goal thriller at Loughborough Dynamo.

Lynn didn't have it all their own way as they allowed the home side to pull back a three-goal lead at one point. Jamie Thurlbourne's miss-hit opener gave Lynn a sixth minute lead and then Danny Beaumont bagged a brace on 16 and 27 minutes to make it 3-0.

Lynn's Ryan Fryatt cleared a Matt Langham header off the line and the home side reduced the arrears shortly before half-time through Reece Lester. Lynn were stunned by two goals early in the second half from Lester again and then from Rob Norris, who hit the bar with his penalty, the ball bouncing back off unlucky keeper Danny Gay and into the net.

But Lynn restored their advantage in the 64th minute through Dan Quigley and they made the game safe on 78 minutes when a Spriggs cross was poked home by Russell Dunkley.

Sutton Coldfield Town leap-frogged Gresley FC into fourth place after beating the Moatmen 4-2 at Coles Lane.

Joel Kettle gave the Royals a 31st minute lead that Louis Keenan doubled from the spot six minutes before the break. Daryl Taylor added the home side`s third 12 minutes after the restart, but Gresley caused a few anxious minutes when they reduced the deficit to just one with goals from Michael Nottingham on 68 minutes and Jordan Nadat on 85 – but Kettle's second two minutes later settled the game.

Sheffield FC maintained their top five challenge with a 2-1 home win over Northwich Victoria.

Conor Roberts gave the Vics the boost of an early sixth minute lead that lasted barely five minutes as Vill Powell equalised. Chris Adam grabbed Club's winner in the 65th minute.

Two of the more surprise top ten teams, Rainworth Miners Welfare and Market Drayton Town, shared a 2-2 draw.

A Ryan Connor own goal gave the Wrens a 19th minute lead that Ian Holmes doubled just after half-time. Matt Johnson reduced the arrears seven minutes after the break and then Martyn Davies earned Drayton a share of the spoils on 67 minutes.

Lincoln United's recent improved form continued as they won 1-0 at Mickleover Sports, courtesy of a goal
two minutes from time from Ben Garrick.

But Hucknall Town's woes continued as they were beaten 2-0 at Christchurch Meadow by Belper Town, for whom Jared Stephens after 33 minutes and Shaun Tuton on 69 minutes were the men on the mark.
