Coalville Town were held to a 1-1 draw on Tuesday night, but still head the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League First Division South table by a healthy fifteen points, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

Jake Sherratt gave hosts Kidsgrove Athletic the lead right on the half-time whistle. But Kris Nurse equalised with 13 minutes remaining to ensure the Ravens remain firm favourites for the title.

In the only other Tuesday game in the division, Leek Town moved up two places in the table with a 1-1 draw at Market Drayton Town, but it was two more points dropped by the Blues in the race for a play-off place.

New signing Andy Kinsey gave the visitors the boost of an early seventh minute lead but they were unable to capitalise on that and the Shropshire hosts eventually equalised through a Matt Ball own goal in first half injury-time.

The result leaves Lee Casswell's side eight points behind fifth-place Belper Town but with only one game in hand.
