Marine cemented fourth place in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Premier Division table – just a point of second-placed FC United of Manchester – after edging out mid-table Nantwich Town by the odd goal in five at the Weaver Stadium on Tuesday night, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

The Mariners had to come back from being a 14th minute Darren Moss goal behind to win, with Will Jones equalising on the half-hour mark.

Alan Burton then put the visitors ahead four minutes after half-time, only for Kyle Wilson to pull the Dabbers back on level terms on 57 minutes. But the recently returned Sean Doherty popped up with Marine's winner with 20 minutes remaining.

Witton Albion remain in the final play-off spot, but had to be content with a point from a goalless draw at Marston Road against Stafford Rangers.

AFC Fylde maintained their hopes of catching the top five after comfortably seeing off basement outfit Eastwood Town 4-1 at Coronation Park.

Sean Cooke bagged a first half brace in the 25th and 38th minutes and James Dean did likewise in the second period on 61 and 81 minutes, with Vijay Selvam replying for the Badgers on 65 minutes.
