Tuesday's Premier Division action review

By David Watters

Buxton moved into second place in the EVO-STIK Northern Premier League's Premier Division on Tuesday night after a 2-0 win over mid-table Hednesford Town at Silverlands, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

Bradley Grayson gave the Bucks a 35th minute breakthrough and then Alastair Taylor added a second for the hosts 10 minutes after half-time to confirm all three points.

That was one of three matches in the division on Tuesday night – but the only one which produced goals!

Fifth-placed Grantham Town`s fantastic run continued as they made it seventeen games unbeaten, but they were held 0-0 at The Meres by fellow top five hopefuls, Matlock Town.

And at the New Manor Ground, second-bottom Ilkeston FC finally ended a run of ten successive defeats with another goalless encounter against Coalville Town.
