It was a third successive league win for the Pics under the former Solihull Moors boss but Rangers` manager Neil Kitching must still be wondering how his team lost so heavily when they dominated large parts of the match.
In effect, Rangers were punished by some clinical finishing from the visitors, who took the lead after 35 minutes when Danny Waldron fired into the bottom corner of the net with their first shot on target.
Seven minutes after half-time, Rangers were caught on the break and Mathis Fanovich scored from 20 yards. It was virtually game over just past the hour-mark when Waldron was brought down by keeper Bradley Caswell and much-travelled forward Richard Brodie made it 3-0 from the resulting penalty.
And then 15 minutes from time, the Pics made it 4-0 with another goal on the break from Waldron to lift themselves nine points clear of the drop zone.
