Tuesday's Premier Division review

AFC Fylde moved into third place in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League's Premier Division on Tuesday night – just three points behind leaders Chorley – after a 2-1 win over mid-table Trafford at Kellamergh Park, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

In very difficult conditions, a 26th minute own goal from visiting defender Stephen Mason followed by Danny Lloyd-McGoldrick’s sixth goal in as many games just a minute later, turned the game around after Shelton Payne had given Trafford a shock lead in the 10th minute.

Before that equalising goal, Adam Sumner missed a penalty to equalise nine minutes later but it didn’t affect Fylde as they went on to record their seventh successive win in all competitions.

Rushall Olympic were looking to increase the pressure on the top five with a victory at the Weaver Stadium against mid-table Nantwich Town.

However, the Dabbers recovered from being a goal down to win by the odd goal in five. Veteran striker Dele Adebola gave the Pics their lead with a ninth minute opener. Mark Jones equalised with two minutes of the first half remaining. And then, on the hour-mark, Aaron Burns put the home side in front and Max Harrop added a third 18 minutes later.

Stanley Mugisha gave Pics' supporters hope when he pulled a second back in stoppage time, but there wasn`t time to mount pressure for a leveller.
