Michael Brown is off to France was a member of England's communications team until the end of March to cover three U20s fixtures for the Three Lions against Portugal, France and Senegal. After returning from France, he's set to fly out to Japan with England on Sunday 7 May and then move on to Korea for the U20s World Cup before getting back to Ashton in mid-June.
The EVO-STIK NPL Premier Division club's officials believe their volunteer is destined to go on to bigger and better things after his international success with Ashton United vice chairman Steve Hobson hailing his call-up on Friday as an "unbelievable opportunity".
Hobson said: "Ashton United are absolutely thrilled for Michael. His involvement in the international set up will only be the first rung on the ladder for the successful future he has ahead of him in the game.

"This is nothing less than fully deserved for all the hard work he has put into our club. Nothing has been too much trouble for him and consequently his thirst for knowledge was satisfied by everyone at Hurst Cross."
Brown promised to keep everyone at home updated on his tour to the continent and the other side of the world in a statement on Friday thanking the club for making it possible through the Robins volunteer programme and the opportunities it has opened up for him.
“I can't thank everyone enough at Hurst Cross,” said Brown. "Everyone, from the board, to my fellow volunteers, to players, and fans, have all welcomed me into the family; and I learned so much in such a short period of time. I can't wait to join the England party and will keep everyone informed of my adventures."
