Webb-Foster heads to Clitheroe

Striker Reece Webb-Foster has left Matlock Town to join NPL West Division Clitheroe for an undisclosed fee.

Webb-Foster, 24, joined the Gladiators from Colne back in February but leaves without having scored a goal for the club.

He immediately opened up his account for Clitheroe in their pre-season friendly win at Radcliffe.

Matlock manager Paul Phillips said: “He never looked like he was going to get the goals for us, and that can happen in football. It didn’t work out for him or the football club so we both move on, he’s a great lad, and we wish him all the best for the future.”

Webb-Foster came through the ranks at Bradford City, playing one EFL Cup and EFL match for the Bantams.
