Champions Altrincham were given a guard of honour by the Marine AFC players ahead of their quickly re-arranged game postponed 24 hours earlier.
And the title-winners took a 10th minute lead through top scorer Jordan Hulme. But they failed to add to their tally, despite dominating the half. And eight minutes after the break, the Mariners equalised with a well-taken goal from James Murray.
Altrincham sub Josh Hancock missed a penalty, awarded after he had been brought down in the box, but his effort came back off the post and the points were shared.
Stalybridge Celtic, soon to begin the search for a new manager after the announcement that Steve Burr was leaving after Saturday's final game of the season, played the first of their two games in two nights, losing 3-1 at Bower Fold to mid-table Workington AFC in front of a paltry 93 paying customers.
Scott Allison gave the Reds a 31st minute lead they eventually added to 30 minutes later through Steven Rigg. Ollie Roberts reduced the deficit five minutes later but Sheldon Mossop ensured the points went north with a 70th minute third.
The evening`s other game saw another mid-table side, Mickleover Sports, share a hard-fought 0-0 draw with second-bottom Halesowen Town.
