The only game in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League's Premier Division on Wednesday night saw Whitby Town move up to eleventh in the table despite only managing a 1-1 home draw with lowly Trafford, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.
The game at the Turnbull Ground could hardly be described as a classic as conditions made it extremely difficult and a goalless draw looked on the cards from a very early stage.
However, Trafford grabbed what looked like being the winner with less than four minutes of normal time remaining through Rory Fallon. But, like buses, another goal arrived almost immediately afterwards as Dave McTiernan earned the relieved Seasiders a share of the spoils.
