Wednesday's South Division action review

By David Watters

Corby Town moved up to eleventh in the EVO-STIK League South table after completing a fourth win in succession under caretaker-manager Steve Kinniburgh on Wednesday night, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

On a wild and windy night at Steel Park, the Steelmen beat newcomers Alvechurch 3-1 to move level on points with the Midland League champions. It was a notable victory too as `Church hadn't lost away from home this season to date.

Corby took a 25th minute lead through Sam Mulready, who then doubled his and the home side`s tally 12 minutes later. Northampton Town loanee Leon Lobjoit eventually made the points safe for the Steelmen when he made it 3-0 with 15 minutes remaining.

Daniel Dubidat did manage a consolation for the visitors in the 85th minute.
