Whitby confirm Bland return

Whitby Town have confirmed the return of goalkeeper Shane Bland.

Bland, 24, rejoins the club after a spell away, appearing for Spennymoor Town in the National League North, followed by a season and a half at Northern League club West Auckland Town.

Bland made 221 appearances in his first spell at the Turnbull Ground, going on to be a part of the side that won the North Riding Senior Cup at the Riverside Stadium in 2017, and proved to be a popular figure among supporters young and old.

Most recently, Bland took a coaching position with the Whitby Town Soccer School, reconnecting with the club ahead of his return.
