White departs Whitby as four stay on

Midfielders Corey Roper, Daniel Rowe and Matty Dixon plus goalkeeper Dan Dixon have re-signed.


White, 31, is the latest high profile departure from the Seasiders since the end of the season, following the likes of Dale Hopson and Matthew Tymon out of the exit door.

He said: “I have made the decision to move on and start a new challenge.

“I would like to thank David McTiernan for getting me back to the club. I would also like to give a massive thank you to the fans for their support over the past two seasons I appreciate each and every one of them.

“It’s been a difficult decision because Whitby are a great club with great supporters and I have loved my time back at the club but it’s a decision I believe is the right one for me.”
