Widnes coach departs

Coach Paul Jones has left his role at BetVictor North/West Division club Widnes.

Jones joined the club in October 2016 and was part of the backroom staff that led the club to the North West Counties Division One title that season.

He kept his position after a managerial chance, and helped the club achieve a second successive promotion.

Writing on Twitter, Jones said: “It’s been an absolute pleasure to work at Widnes.

“The club is in great hands with Kev and Ste so it just feels like the right time. The club is in a good place and I genuinely wish everyone all the success in the world.

“They are all good people who deserve it and I’m pretty sure the club can achieve great things.”

Where next?

Trio added to Royals squad Sutton Coldfield Town have made three further signings as they prepare for their return to the BetVictor Northern Premier League.
Green sticks with Gingerbreads Grantham Town have signed full-back Jacob Green from Frickley Athletic.
