Widnes unveil first summer signings

Widnes have announced the permanent signing of defensive duo Jack Byrne and Louis Isherwood.
The pair link up with the Whites ahead of the upcoming Pitching In NPL West Division season.
Byrne arrives at the club on a permanent deal, having initially joined on loan from AFC Fylde in January.
He played an important role as the club fought off relegation, and manager Michael Ellison has moved swiftly to tie the 21-year-old down after his contract at Fylde expired earlier this summer.
Isherwood, meanwhile, joins the club following the expiration of his deal at Chorley.
The 21-year-old spent the majority of last season on loan from the National League North side, scoring once in 21 appearances in all competitions.
